Overview

Fitness Service Manager at Gold’s Gym SoCal Group. This role leads our team in delivering exceptional service and driving revenue through sales expertise, using deep knowledge of our products and programs to foster a community focused on health, productivity, and enjoyment.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage members to take advantage of diverse fitness offerings and inspire the team to do the same.
  • Build and lead a high-performing membership team aligned with company initiatives.
  • Ensure project and department milestones are met within approved budgets.
  • Enforce club rules and policies while promoting proper procedures.
  • Provide feedback to the General Manager on performance gaps and make hiring recommendations.
  • Manage personal training sales generation and monitor key metrics.
  • Train staff to generate leads and new business.
  • Conduct regular meetings with direct reports to review performance and offer guidance.
  • Serve as manager-on-duty as needed to resolve member concerns.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Proficiency in personal training techniques and sales.
  • Strong business judgment and analytical skills.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current CPR Certification and National Certification as a Personal Trainer.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • 5-10 years of multi-unit management experience in sales-driven environments.
  • Proven track record of translating strategy into actionable initiatives that drive results.
  • Willingness to travel between club locations.
  • Fitness Certification from a recognized authority.
  • BA or BS degree preferred, particularly in a sales-related field.
  • Bilingual preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $70,000.00 per year. Benefits include a comprehensive package such as a John Hancock 401k and Aflac Supplemental Insurance Options, free gym memberships and discounts, and opportunities for growth within the organization.
