JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Forklift Operator / Scaler in Flint, MI. Our client is a leading manufacturer in the industrial sector with a strong focus on safety and quality. The Forklift Operator / Scaler is responsible for safely operating forklifts, scaling materials, and maintaining accurate records of inventory and weights.

Responsibilities of a Forklift Operator / Scaler include:

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers while ensuring proper stacking and securement of products.
• Accurately weigh, record, and track incoming and outgoing materials.
• Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including scaling stations and warehouse.
• Verify product counts, weights, and quality against shipping/receiving documents.
• Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members, drivers, and supervisors regarding workflow and inventory issues.

Job Requirements of a Forklift Operator / Scaler:

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in scaling and recording data.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying warehouse temperatures.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of forklift operation experience in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of weight scales and basic math skills for accurate measurements.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory/shipping software preferred.
