Forklift Operator / Scaler
in
Flint, MI . Our client is a leading manufacturer in the industrial sector with a strong focus on safety and quality. The
Forklift Operator / Scaler
is responsible for safely operating forklifts, scaling materials, and maintaining accurate records of inventory and weights.
Responsibilities of a Forklift Operator / Scaler include: Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers while ensuring proper stacking and securement of products. Accurately weigh, record, and track incoming and outgoing materials. Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including scaling stations and warehouse. Verify product counts, weights, and quality against shipping/receiving documents. Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts as required. Communicate effectively with team members, drivers, and supervisors regarding workflow and inventory issues. Job Requirements of a Forklift Operator / Scaler:
Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in scaling and recording data. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying warehouse temperatures. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. REQUIRED Experience and Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain. Minimum of 1-2 years of forklift operation experience in a warehouse or industrial setting. Knowledge of weight scales and basic math skills for accurate measurements. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory/shipping software preferred.
