Forklift Operator FT Job at R & L Carriers Inc in Chicago

Overview

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for a full-time Forklift Operator at our Chicago, IL service center. As a Forklift Operator you will move freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53’ long. You will operate a forklift on a roofed but non-climate-controlled dock.

Full-Time, Mon-Wed, Fri-Sat 4am-12:30pm

Paid Sick Leave available after the first 30 calendar days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Move all different types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53’ long.
• Operate a forklift on a roofed but non-climate-controlled dock.

Qualifications

• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to read manifests
• Ability to read/interact with a computer display
• Must be dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

• Previous forklift experience in a fast-paced environment
• Some LTL experiences
