Position Summary

The Forklift Driver operates forklifts and other material handling equipment for shipping, receiving, and picking activities. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, scanning, moving, staging, replenishing, stacking, counting, inspecting, and notifying leadership of damages or discrepancies. The role requires safe and efficient operation of all equipment and adherence to company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Shipping Responsibilities: Load outbound shipments, move products, and stack materials using forklifts, following Standard Operating Procedures.
• Receiving Responsibilities: Unload inbound shipments, move, replenish, and store products accurately.
• Picking Responsibilities: Pick orders, stage products, and prepare them according to client requirements.
• Quality Control Responsibilities: Ensure products and orders meet quality standards, report damages or discrepancies.
• Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Follow safety protocols, maintain a clean work environment, comply with policies and OSHA standards.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain forklifts and other equipment, maintain certification.
• Maintenance: Assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as needed.
• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of experience in logistics/distribution.
• Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Forklift training certification.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Basic to intermediate math skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to work independently, adaptability.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of warehouse/logistics experience.
• 1-3 years forklift experience.
• Current or previous MHE certification.

Physical Demands

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 21-50 lbs, climbing, standing, etc. The environment is typically low to moderate noise, with minimal exposure to chemicals.

Compensation

Hourly pay ranges from $18.75 to $25.25. Actual pay depends on experience and skills.
