Forklift Operator II Job at FedEx Supply Chain in Edwardsville

Shift:

Weekend; Thursday - Sunday (5am - 3pm)

Pay Rate:

$20.75/Hour + $1.00 Shift Differential

Position Summary:

The Forklift Operator II is responsible for safely operating complex powered material handling equipment (including the Order Picker, Turret, Drexel, etc.) for product receipt, storage, and order fulfillment. The role emphasizes product safety, quality, legality, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full case order picking for replenishment, customer orders, and packaging components.
• Pallet retrieval and placement in narrow aisle bulk rack storage systems.
• Performing quality control to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Loading and unloading pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines, manually or with equipment.
• Sorting, building, and wrapping products onto pallets to meet customer expectations.
• Maintaining storage location accuracy through daily cycle counts and inventory tasks.
• Performing additional distribution tasks as needed based on business volume.

Ideal Candidate:

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of experience operating powered material handling equipment; 1+ years preferred.
• Must meet PPE and fall protection requirements.
• Ability to operate equipment such as Order Picker, Turret, Drexel, etc.
• Comfort working at extended heights.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and flexibility.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Customer service orientation.
• Team player attitude.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements:

Pay Range:

$13.99 - $26.55 per hour
