Job Summary
The Acuity Brands Human Resources Leadership Program is a two-year rotational experience that develops high-potential early career talent into impactful professionals through hands-on experience. Leaders rotate to a different functional area every six months to build business acumen and skill proficiency. Upon graduation, participants understand how they fit into the larger company strategy and have the skills to develop into future leaders at Acuity Brands.
Location and Start
This role works remotely (from the United States) and starts employment on January 12, 2026.
Program Experience and Growth Activities
- Specialized onboarding for all participants to ensure integration into the organization and program.
- One-on-one mentorship from a Human Resources leader for the duration of the program and beyond.
- Social and networking events to connect with peers and leaders across the business.
- Frequent opportunities to collaborate with program peers to learn about various business processes and initiatives.
- Leadership report-out meetings to share rotational learnings and performance reviews to identify strengths and areas for growth.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Across rotations, LP Specialists work on projects aligned with current company objectives and explore areas including:
- HR Project Management Office (PMO)
- One Center of Excellence (COE) Rotation such as:
- Talent and Organization Effectiveness
- Total Rewards
- HR Operations
- Exposure to other areas such as HR Technology, HR Compliance, and Associate and Labor Relations.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration or Human Resources Administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Availability to travel up to 20% based on business needs.
- Leadership experience influencing change, people, and processes (highly preferred).
- Team-oriented with initiative (highly preferred).
- Less than two years of related work experience (highly preferred).
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $55,300.00 to $99,500.00. Placement within this range varies by experience and geographic location.
