Position Summary
Note: This position is for the UNM-Gallup Branch in Gallup, NM, approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque.
The University of New Mexico Gallup Branch, Education, Health, and Human Services Division, seeks adjunct faculty to teach face-to-face and/or develop lower division courses (100/2000 Level) for the Spring, Summer, and Fall 2025 semesters in the following disciplines:
Health Care Careers:
- HCHS 111 Medical Terminology
- HCHS 113 Basic Body & Functions
- HLED 1220 Personal Health Management
- NUTR 1110 Nutrition for Health
- NUTR 2110 Human Nutrition
- HCHT 221 Medical-Legal & Quality Management
UNM Gallup is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico, established to provide quality education tailored to the needs of its diverse community, offering community education, technical, and transfer programs.
The division is seeking qualified temporary part-time faculty to teach lower division courses. Responsibilities include content delivery, assignment development, grading, reporting grades, and assessing student learning, with potential evening or weekend classes. Positions depend on enrollment and course demand each semester, with reporting to the division chair.
Wages
Compensation varies based on credentials and course load, ranging from approximately $1,056.70 to $1,100.94 per credit hour, with specific rates for terminal and master's degrees, and teaching experience.
