Overview
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 13-week travel assignment in Las Vegas, New Mexico. A CNA provides direct patient care and supports nurses and healthcare teams to assist patients with daily needs and monitor patient conditions.
Base pay range

Required Qualifications
- One year of recent CNA experience
- Valid CNA registration in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Other certifications may be required depending on facility requirements
Summary
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care and works alongside nurses and healthcare teams to support patients with daily needs and monitor conditions. They help with activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and monitoring patient well-being.
Essential Work Functions
- Record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration)
- Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Provide mobility assistance (repositioning, transfers, ambulation)
- Assist with feeding and meal support as needed
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families
- Document patient care, observations, and any changes in condition
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and healthcare regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
Required Essential Skills
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication
- English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; computer skills
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, lift/move equipment, push/pull, and bend
- Ability to work with diverse teams and maintain professionalism
- Technical/motor skills for assisting with procedures and using department equipment
- Mental requirements to work under pressure and manage irregular schedules
- Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication
