Description of the role:

Village Caregiving is seeking a compassionate Caregiver/CNA to join our team in Franklin, KY. The ideal candidate will provide assistance to residents with activities of daily living and ensure their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal care tasks
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health and behavior
• Ensure clients' safety at all times
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents

Requirements:

• Current CNA certification or equivalent experience in home care
• Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities essential for daily living, including assisting with meals and serving as needed

Qualifications:

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to learn and improve skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Compassionate and supportive demeanor
• Availability for various shifts, including nights and weekends
• Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or HHA; or completion of a CNA program
• Experience with Hoyer Lift (specific to client)
