Caregiver/CNA Job at Village Caregiving - Southern WV in Madison

We are looking for a compassionate caregiver/CNA to join our growing team! The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide various levels of support to our clients.

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 4p-12a and 12a-8a; Saturday and Sunday 7p-7a

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Assist clients with medication and ambulation.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients to do so.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report unusual incidents and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Assist patients with meals and other daily activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to learn new skills.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds and perform job duties physically.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate and supportive demeanor.
• Available to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.
• Willing to enforce health and safety standards.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience as Caregiver, CNA, HHA, or CNA program completion.
• Supportive, compassionate, and committed to high-quality care.
• Hoyer Lift experience (specific to client).
