Position Title: Security Representative

Job Description Summary:

• Evening Shift: Monday-Friday; 12:30pm-9:00pm
• $20.00 per hour base rate, with shift and/or weekend differentials

Purpose & Scope:

Responsible for screening all patients, visitors, contractors, vendors, employees, and other persons arriving at VHC-owned or leased facilities for security and/or health & safety reasons. Controls access to assigned areas using established security or infection prevention protocols and policies. Utilizes screening equipment such as visitor check-in kiosks, computers, cameras, and other related devices, including weapons detection systems or health screening systems. Maintains positive public relations by providing excellent customer service to entrants and exits. Supports Security and Parking Departments as needed, including vehicle traffic management and enforcement of parking policies within facility premises and fire lanes.

Education:

High School Diploma required.

Experience:

Minimum of one year of customer service experience required.

Certification/Licensure:

None required.

Must have self-confidence to restrict or deny access to unapproved or non-compliant individuals. Responsible for escalating and communicating issues to the facility. Leadership skills are required. Multilingual abilities are preferred.
