US Foods is hiring: Night Warehouse Selector in Coralville

Overview

US Foods is seeking a Warehouse Stock Clerk/Warehouse Associate on a 2nd shift. Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 5:45 PM – finish (2–3 AM). Compensation starts at $22.73 per hour plus overtime and incentive pay; average incentive pay of about $5.00/hour with no cap. Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate that the correct product has been selected and is damage-free.
• Deliver products to the correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders.
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stack empty pallets, and return pallet jacks to charging area.

Physical Requirements

• Work in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Lift/carry/push/pull 20–80+ lbs. of product repetitively; move 1,000+ cases per shift.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English to attend trainings, participate in coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday–Thursday; weekends and holidays may be required.
• Recent experience (within the past 6 months) in high-endurance or highly physical activity or roles such as lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction, etc. is preferred.
• Experience selecting large-scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jacks or similar equipment is preferred.
