Ben E. Keith Co. is hiring: Night Warehouse Trainee in Fort Worth

The Freezer Warehouse Trainee position is a full-time, entry-level role. Trainees will learn warehousing aspects through formal training and on-the-job experience, including operating material handling equipment such as mid-rider pallet jacks and forklifts.

• Select customer orders using electronic technology and physical handling.
• Load and unload products from transportation equipment.
• Operate material handling equipment safely.
• Repetitively lift and stack products.
• Work until the job is complete.
• Must be able to work night shifts, typically 5 days on/2 days off, Sunday through Friday, with one midweek day and Saturdays off. Shifts end when all work is completed, often lasting 10-12 hours.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Must be 18 or older.
• Pass drug screening and physical exam.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in all temperature zones, including freezers.
• Ability to work overnight shifts.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts.
• Ability to learn electronic technology use.
• Normal use of shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, feet, and legs; ability to lift 30-60 lbs repeatedly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and operate lift devices properly.
• Ability to operate heavy warehouse equipment such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and sounds.
• Ability to read numbers and product descriptions.
