Overview

Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk role at Kroger. Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pickup. Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to online shopping. Responsibilities

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper selects and gathers products for customers\' online orders with emphasis on freshness and quality.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes selection for customers\' online orders.
• Assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, deliver and load orders to cars at pickup, and follow bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers\' orders at pickup time.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers\' orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Read and follow directions in note sections; ensure quality and freshness of items.
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone and respond in a professional and timely manner.
• Retrieve orders from staging locations, verify order accuracy, and load orders into customers\' cars.
• Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages return to online shopping.
• Process orders through the POS system; follow substitution policies for out-of-stock items.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report discrepancies (pricing, scanning, item location) and invalid temperature types to the e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items in need of repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures; assist in training new team members.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards; work cooperatively in a high-paced or stressful environment; manage conflict in a constructive manner.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues; provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Excellent oral/written communication skills

Desired Previous Experience:

• Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
