Overview

Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk at Kroger Mountain View Foods. Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to online shopping. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper: select and gather products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality.
• Initiate and complete the selection process for customers' online orders.
• Assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars at pick up.
• Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards.
• Communicate any substitutions or exceptions to customers at pick-up.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customer orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Read and follow directions in note sections; ensure quality and freshness of all items.
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone in a professional and timely manner.
• Retrieve customer orders from staging locations, ensure order accuracy, and load orders into customers' cars.
• Provide a positive customer service experience to encourage continued online shopping.
• Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system.
• Follow policies to determine appropriate substitutions for out-of-stock items.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and temperature issues to supervision.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items needing repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards and work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage conflict professionally and maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance to diverse customer groups, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to read shelf tags
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills

Desired Previous Experience

• Any experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
