Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk at Kroger Mountain View Foods

Role involves selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality, assembling orders, processing coupons and payment, and delivering/loading orders to cars at pickup. Provides a positive customer service experience and upholds the company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper selects and gathers products for customers\' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for customers\' online orders.
• As part of the Online Grocery Pick-Up team, assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver/load orders to customers\' cars at pickup.
• Scan and bag orders on the go while following bagging standards.
• E-Commerce team communicates substitutions or exceptions to customers\' order at pickup.
• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers\' orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Read and follow directions in the note section; ensure quality and freshness of all items.
• Communicate with customers via portable phone in a professional and timely manner.
• Retrieve each customer\'s order from staging locations and ensure order accuracy; load order into customers\' cars.
• Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages repeat online shopping.
• Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system.
• Follow policies to determine appropriate substitutions for out-of-stock items.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies to the store e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items in need of repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet/exceed productivity standards; work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflict professionally.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Excellent oral/written communication skills

Desired Previous Experience

• Experience as a personal shopper or in production/warehouse environments, stocking shelves, or as a cashier
