Job Description

Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at the store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to online shopping. Responsibilities

  • Essential Job Functions: Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk works as in-store Grocery Shopper responsible for selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
  • In-store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for customers' online orders.
  • The E-commerce team, including Online Grocery Pick-Up associates, communicates any substitutions or exceptions to customers' orders at pickup time.
  • Assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to customers' cars at pickup.
  • Scan and bag orders on the go while following all bagging standards.
  • Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
  • Receive customers' orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
  • Read and follow directions in the note section and ensure quality and freshness of all items.
  • Communicate with customers via portable phone in a professional and timely manner.
  • Retrieve each customer's order from staging locations and load the order into the customer's car.
  • Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages repeat online shopping.
  • Process orders through the POS system and determine substitutions for out-of-stock items.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
  • Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies to the store e-commerce supervisor; inspect equipment and notify management of repairs.
  • Perform required opening and closing procedures and assist in training new e-commerce team members.
  • Meet/exceed productivity standards and work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment; manage conflict professionally; act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications

  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to read shelf tags
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills

Desired Previous Experience

  • Experience as a personal shopper or in a production/warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier
