Responsibilities
- Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper: select and gather products for customers' on-line orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
- In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for customers' on-line orders.
- Assemble on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive for pick up.
- Scan and bag orders on the go while following bagging standards.
- Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers' orders at pick-up.
- Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
- Receive orders from Order Selector, store products in optimal temperature zones, and ensure order accuracy.
- Follow directions in notes and ensure quality and freshness of all items.
- Communicate with customers via portable phone in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure readiness of orders, load orders into customers' cars, and provide a positive customer service experience that encourages online shopping.
- Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system and determine appropriate substitutions for out-of-stock items according to policies.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
- Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies to the store e-Commerce supervisor; inspect equipment and notify management of items needing repair.
- Perform required opening and closing procedures and assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
- Meet/exceed productivity standards and work cooperatively in a high-paced or stressful environment; manage conflict professionally.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information; follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues.
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
Minimum Position Qualifications
- Ability to work without supervision
- Ability to read shelf tags
- Basic math skills (i.e., counting, addition, subtraction)
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
Desired Previous Experience
- Any experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
