Overview
Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk at Kroger — Select and gather products for customers’ on-line orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers’ on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to on-line shopping. Responsibilities
- As an In-Store Grocery Shopper / Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk, select and gather products for customers’ on-line orders with attention to freshness and quality.
- Initiate and complete the selection process for customers’ on-line orders.
- Assemble on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive for pick up.
- Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards.
- Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers’ orders at pick-up time.
- Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
- Receive orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
- Read and follow directions in the note section; ensure quality and freshness of items.
- Communicate with customers via portable phone in a professional and timely manner.
- Retrieve customers’ orders from staging locations, ensure order accuracy, and load orders into customers’ cars.
- Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages continued on-line shopping.
- Process orders through the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Follow policies to determine substitutions for out-of-stock items.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
- Report pricing, scanning, and item-location discrepancies and intake issues to the e-Commerce supervisor.
- Inspect equipment and notify management of items in need of repair.
- Perform opening and closing procedures as required.
- Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflict in a constructive, nonconfrontational manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Ability to work without supervision
- Ability to read shelf tags
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
Desired Previous Experience:
- Any experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
