About the Opportunity Senior Data Enablement Steward to lead its Alation data catalog initiative. This strategic role is focused on transforming the catalog into a central, trusted "data marketplace" for the organization. The steward will collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure data is well-documented and governed, with the ultimate goal of fostering a culture of data literacy and self-service analytics.
Requirements:
Experience:
5+ years of experience in a data-focused role such as Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Data Management, or Senior Data Analyst. Alation Expertise : 3+ years of hands-on experience administering, curating, and developing solutions within the Alation data catalog platform. Data Governance Acumen : Deep understanding of data governance principles, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks. Technical Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis, with a solid understanding of modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). Exceptional Communicator : Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical audiences. Influential Collaborator : A natural ability to build relationships, influence without authority, and work effectively with diverse cross-functional teams.
