Centreville, MI (100% onsite) About the Opportunity for a Staff Accountant: • Join a stable and community-focused organization with a supportive team environment • Opportunity to take ownership of accounts receivable, journal entries, and key month-end close functions • Hands-on role with exposure to full-cycle accounting, audit support, and accruals Overview of the Staff Accountant role: • Manage daily accounts receivable including posting cash receipts, credit card payments, mailed checks, and vendor co-pays • Post and review accounts payable entries, typically 5-10 per day, ensuring accuracy and compliance for audit review • Perform journal entries for month-end close, including accruals, revenue entries, prepaid expenses, PTO accrual, payroll accrual, depreciation, and rent payments • Reconcile bank accounts, run trial balances, and ensure accurate general ledger postings during a 7-day close cycle (5-7 entries daily) • Support payroll processes and assist with related accruals Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant role: • 2+ years of accounting experience with strong focus on accounts receivable and journal entries • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with ability to analyze and reconcile accounts • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet month-end deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Background in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and audit support Salary:
$50,000-$55,000 annually, onsite in Centreville, MI #ZRCFS
