to find their next
Controller . This individual will oversee financial integrity, management reporting, and SEC compliance while leading key functions such as departmental operations, budgeting, planning, ALCO reporting, and staff development. This is a high priority role!
What You'll Do:
Oversee the
closing of the books
each accounting period, ensuring accuracy and data integrity Prepare
monthly Board of Directors financial packages Advise executive management on significant transactions, account balances, and discrepancies Lead
SEC reporting efforts , working closely with staff, auditors, and bank management Develop and submit
three-year business and capital plans
for regulatory approval Collaborate with
external and internal auditors , ensuring timely and accurate reviews Manage core departmental functions, including: Investments, Fixed/Prepaid Assets, Accounts Payable Stock-based compensation Standard journal entries and accruals Prepare
internal ALCO reports
and coordinate with Sterne Agee for interest rate risk modeling Ensure
monthly general ledger reconciliations
are completed accurately Maintain compliance with
Bank Secrecy Act
and other regulatory requirements
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree
in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 10+ years of progressive accounting experience , with at least 5 in a supervisory or Controller-level role Strong knowledge of
financial reporting, SEC requirements, and internal controls Advanced
Excel skills
and experience with major accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) Excellent
leadership, communication, and analytical skills High attention to detail and organizational ability
