Seattle, WA | Salary: $175000.00 - $200000.00 Overview The General Manager (GM) for the Commercial Division will lead associates, processes, and policies of the Division to profitably grow market share, sustain customer loyalty, and support corporate growth within a designated market area. The GM will oversee sales, operations, facilities, systems and processes within an assigned market, providing opportunities for professional and financial growth to team members, while upholding the highest safety and professional standards in line with corporate goals. Operations

Maintain operational excellence through knowledge and delegation of operational procedures. Improve efficiency and productivity in processes and procedures; maintain integrity in purchasing, delivering, warehousing, sales flow, invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Ensure effective management of asset utilization and asset return. Maintain all facilities (building, land, equipment) for a professional appearance and ensure maintenance that maximizes use of physical property. Business Planning

Direct short-term and long-range planning and budget development in alignment with corporate strategy and goals. Establish short, medium, and long-term objectives. Develop and implement management reporting with key performance indicators that tie to key value drivers and align with corporate objectives. Maintain business unit scorecard and regularly update team members and corporate leadership on unit performance. Develop and execute business plans to achieve stated objectives. Translate business unit plans into team and team member initiatives. Purchasing

Support vendor partners and key strategic lines. Ensure a profitable purchasing environment, including close tracking and management of key commodities. Maintain inventory levels that support sales and growth objectives and meet corporate guidelines for days in inventory and working capital. Support key strategic product usage and throughput plans. Take full advantage of vendor discounts, volume programs, and other incentives. Warehouse

Establish profitable strategies that maximize labor, equipment, materials, floor space, and distribution logistics. Ensure team members follow proper safety regulations and wear necessary safety gear. Manage inventory control and integrity. Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations. Maintain warehouse equipment and delivery vehicles to provide efficient operations and a safe environment. Business Development

Develop and analyze market information and trends in the local market. Develop high-performing sales management and sales teams to drive excellence in sales processes and customer loyalty. Develop market sales plans and corporate sales support requirements, including market positioning, competitive and customer segmentation analysis, marketing communications, and advertising plans. Identify new product and business opportunities based on customer needs. Achieve financial objectives and maintain desired earnings. Be the premier customer service provider of value-added services by maintaining a high standard of excellence. Improve company standing through expansion and penetration of market. Communicate post-sales service expectations to account managers to maximize customer relationships while maintaining financial integrity. Participate in acquisition and growth activities to support overall business objectives and plans. Participate in market development activities such as industry shows, supplier conferences, analyst meetings, and other designated meetings. Support mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, integration planning, and execution. Human Resource Management

Build a leadership team that supports excellence. Build a sales team that can win market share and help meet growth, profitability, and integrity objectives. Communicate progress, goals, company direction, expectations, and other information regularly to all team members. Develop and maintain a productive sales and operations team through hiring, training, and professional development. Conduct regular 1:1s and semiannual performance evaluations. Develop and maintain an Outlier Plan tracking high-potential team members for advancement. Support goals set by regional and corporate management. Maintain guidelines that support local, state, and federal laws including labor, safety, drug and alcohol, and OSHA policies. Qualifications

BA / BS Degree, MBA. 15+ years of managerial experience. Excellent computer skills, particularly in the preparation of analysis and complex financial models. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Leadership & Team Reach
