Responsibilities

Responsible for small, routine maintenance work and deep cleaning of various Community Centers and Fairgrounds properties in accordance with Jackson County policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean the various Community Centers and Fairgrounds buildings.
• Assist coordinators with set-up and tear-down of events, inventory, and storage room arrangement.
• Help set up and tear down tables and chairs for events at the Fairgrounds.
• Clean and maintain floors of Civic Center using appropriate equipment.
• Report any damages to facilities to the director.
• Perform small maintenance tasks such as repairing tables, assembling furniture, pressure washing, etc.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Mississippi driver's license required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in janitorial services preferred.
• Some maintenance knowledge preferred.
