Truck Driver – Full-Time Opening
Sanbornton Highway Department

The Sanbornton Highway Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time Truck Driver. This position offers a competitive wage, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment.

• Starting Pay: $22.98/hour
• Medical Insurance: 8% employee contribution
• Paid Time Off: Vacation, sick leave, and holidays
• Work Schedule: Four 10-hour days during the summer months with the ability for overtime in the winter months.

Position Requirements:

• Valid CDL-B license with air brake endorsement– or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
• Must be Able to:
  • Pass a clean driving and criminal background check
  • Pass a drug screening
  • Perform manual labor (use of hand tools and chainsaws)
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Plow snow and perform other winter maintenance duties
  • Assist with road maintenance and reconstruction
• Duties include, but are not limited to, the tasks listed above.

This position also provides the opportunity to operate—and receive training to operate—a variety of equipment used by the department.

Alternate Consideration:

The Highway Department and the Board of Selectmen may consider the following alternatives:

• Applicants with a CDL-A license – starting at $24.57/hour or higher
• Applicants with an operator’s license who can obtain a CDL within 1 year – starting at $21.48/hour
