Part of Dover Corporation's Engineered Systems segment, Vehicle Service Group (VSG) is a global leader in the vehicle service industry. VSG comprises 13 major brands: Rotary Lift, Chief, Forward, Direct-Lift, Ravaglioli, Hanmecson, Revolution, Elektron, Blitz, Nogra, Butler, Space and Sirio.

Summary: Installation, repair, and maintenance of all manufacturing, facilities, and infrastructure machinery and systems. Perform preventive maintenance to equipment and provide support to production in conformance with customer expectations. Support all continuous improvement activities. Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  1. Follow safety first work methods and procedures to avoid injury to self and co-workers or damage to company property, including use of required personal protective equipment, safety precautions (e.g. LOTO), ensuring proper machine guards, etc.
  2. Provide quick response to maintenance requests and calls from maintenance leadership and manufacturing operations teams.
  3. Follow proper housekeeping standards to ensure clean and organized maintenance work areas.
  4. Operate motorized equipment, including but not limited to scissor lifts, JLGs, fork trucks, etc.
  5. Lubricate and oil machinery as needed.
  6. Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment to ensure proper operation and document all preventive maintenance.
  7. Make necessary repairs to equipment (e.g., replacing bearings, repairing relays, switches and gearboxes).
  8. Install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic, pneumatic, water, welding gas equipment; repair and replace gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
  9. Work from ladders, lifts, and at different heights as required.
  10. Maintain, sustain, and continuously improve the VSG Preventative Maintenance program.
  11. Perform any required maintenance welding using electric arc or gas processes as needed.
  12. Repair and maintain the physical structure of the facility.
  13. Troubleshoot and repair PLC controls and automated equipment.
  14. Diagnose and repair paint lines (PC and Wet).
  15. Perform facility infrastructure equipment and electrical repairs.
  16. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all types of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  17. Install new machinery and relocate machinery as needed; ensure machinery is set up properly.
  18. Complete work assignments as directed.
  19. Complete electrical repairs and installations.
  20. Assist with spare parts inventory.
  21. Log work hours in CMMS system.
  22. Assist in root cause analysis using Dover fast problem-solving methodology.
  23. Other duties as assigned.

  6. Accountability: Accept responsibility for projects and duties. Communicate progress to supervisor in a timely manner. Meet deadlines with quality and urgency.
  7. Maintenance Log: Update logs and check sheets to ensure preventive maintenance records are accurate and compliant.
  8. Training: Willingness to upgrade electrical/mechanical skills on the job and off.

Working Conditions

  • Perform in a loud/noisy environment.
  • Shift changes, overtime, and weekend work as required.
  • Work with parts/equipment that may be hot, cold, or wet.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions and at heights.
  • Use powered tools and hand tools, including vibratory equipment.
  • Prolonged standing and frequent handling of various parts; walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, pinching.
  • Fine motor dexterity and the ability to use air tools; overhead reaching and mobility requirements.
  • Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing ladders; twisting and occupational movements as required.
  • Handling and lifting of parts/equipment (occasional up to 75 lbs, frequent up to 50 lbs).

Job Specifications

Education: Preferred technical degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent certifications/experience. High school graduate may qualify with extensive proven experience (4–8+ years) across at least four maintenance disciplines (mechanical, machine shop, hydraulic, electrical, megatronic).

Experience: Must be able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics and apply them to repair equipment and order parts. Must troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and relay logic controls.

Personal Tool Requirements: Employee must provide the following tools:

  • Welder hood
  • Mechanical tools necessary for the job
  • Voltage tester
  • V.O.M. (analog satisfactory)

Supervision: Reports to Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager. Willing to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibility: Exercises a moderate degree of judgment. Questions are referred to the supervisor for assistance.
