Responsibilities

  1. Know all Safety Requirements, Departmental and Plant Wide.
  2. Maintain departmental 5-S for assigned areas and equipment.
  3. Complete required departmental paperwork; have general knowledge of computer software and maintenance work order system.
  4. Perform major overhaul of all Equipment Mechanical and Electrical.
  5. Repair all Production and non-Production Equipment.
  6. Calibrate Electrical Controls of all Equipment (Hot Runners controls, Thermolators, Barrel Heaters, etc.).
  7. Setup and operate all Production Equipment.
  8. Ensure utilities are on line for Production Start up (Cooling Towers, Air Compressors, Dryers, Oxidizer).
  9. Train other technicians on proper repair procedures of all Equipment.
  10. Maintain good communication skills.
  11. Generate proper paperwork to start order process of Parts.
  12. Perform Group Leader functions in absence.
  13. Install and repair all existing Electrical utilities.
  14. Repair, teach, and train on Technical Equipment such as Robots, P.C. Control, and use of P.C. Interface devices for troubleshooting.
  15. Support implementation, achievement, and maintenance of Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.

Education

  • High School education or GED.

Experience

  • 1-2 years technical training or 2-3 years on-the-job training. HVAC experience required.
  • Pneumatic/Hydraulic experience.
  • PLC experience.

Skills

  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and practices used in electrical or mechanical areas.
  • Detect defects in machinery and equipment and make proper repairs or adjustments.
  • Work from sketches and prints.
