About The Position We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This role begins on Oct 13, 2025, and features a 36/40 rotation with 12-hour weekday shifts and shorter weekend shifts. The provider will work autonomously in a streamlined environment, supported by a medical assistant and front desk staff, managing a high patient volume. Job Details Location: North Carolina Start Date: Oct 13, 2025 LOA: 120 days Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Schedule: 12-hour shifts (8am–8pm weekdays), 8am–4pm weekends; most weeks follow a 36/40 rotation: week 1 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday), week 2 (Monday, Thursday, Friday) Responsibilities and Duties Deliver autonomous urgent care services for a diverse patient population Manage 40 patient visits per shift in a fast-paced environment Perform assessments, diagnose conditions, and initiate treatment Collaborate with medical assistants and front desk staff to ensure efficient patient flow Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR Fulfill all duties in accordance with clinical protocols and standards Additional Information Must hold an active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina Minimum of 1 year experience in urgent care or emergency room settings required Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification mandatory Candidates must be DOT certified or willing to obtain certification prior to start Ability to work independently is essential; new graduates will not be considered Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
