About The Position We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina starting Oct 13, 2025. This autonomous role features a rotating schedule of 12-hour weekday shifts and shorter weekend hours, providing essential urgent care services in a fast-paced environment. Job Details Location: North Carolina Start Date: Oct 13, 2025 LOA: 120 days Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Schedule: 8am-8pm weekdays, 8am-4pm weekends; 36/40 rotation most weeks (Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 2: Monday, Thursday, Friday) Responsibilities and Duties Independently provide urgent care services to a high patient volume (40 patients per shift) Manage a variety of acute presentations typically seen in urgent care settings Work collaboratively within a streamlined team structure (provider, medical assistant, front desk) Maintain accurate and timely patient records using Epic EMR Obtain and maintain DOT certification as required Uphold standards of care and ensure patient safety Demonstrate flexibility with rotating shift schedules Additional Information Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina At least one year of experience in urgent care or emergency medicine required; new graduates will not be considered Must be able to work autonomously Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required DOT certification required (may obtain independently if not already held) Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
