Base pay range

$14.85/hr - $14.85/hr

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Starbucks Standards.
• Provide customer service and maintain clean work areas.
• Unload stock and reload salvage products according to Starbucks Standards.
• Perform all essential duties satisfactorily and follow reasonable accommodations to enable performance.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills; willingness to participate in required training and work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English; ability to write simple correspondence in English; ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings in English.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform operations with dollars and weights.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; handle problems with a few concrete variables.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Complete Company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge. Must be IST or AST certified.
• Physical Demands: Standing, walking, handling, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting or smelling; occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching; lift up to 30 pounds (up to 50 pounds occasionally); vision requirements include close, color, and depth perception.
• Work Environment: Moderate environment with accommodations for disabilities; exposure to hot/cold environments, moving parts, fumes, and chemicals; noise level usually moderate to loud.

Additional Information

• Compensation: Harris Teeter expects to pay between $14.85/hour and $22.00/hour for this role as a newly hired associate. Pay may depend on experience and skill.
