Harris Teeter is hiring: Part Time Barista in Warrenton

Overview

This is a part-time position. Responsible for preparing, processing, packaging, and stocking products according to Starbucks Standards. Also responsible for providing customer service, cleaning work areas, unloading stock, and reloading salvage products according to Starbucks Standards.

The base pay range is provided as $14.85/hr. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience; discuss with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to company standards.
• Provide customer service and maintain clean work areas.
• Unload stock and reload salvage products per standards.
• Perform all essential duties satisfactorily and comply with reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications

• PERSONAL SKILLS: Exceptional interpersonal skills; willingness to participate in required training and work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English; ability to write simple correspondence in English; ability to present information to customers and associates who speak English.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement.
• REASONING ABILITY: Ability to follow detailed but simple instructions; handle problems with a few concrete variables.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Complete company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge. Must be IST or AST certified.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell regularly; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch occasionally; lift up to 30 pounds (up to 50 pounds occasionally); vision requirements include close vision, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

• Moderate environment with accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
• Exposure to hot, cool, and extreme cold; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; and chemicals; noise level usually moderate to loud.

• Pay Transparency: Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $14.85/hour and $22.00/hour for this role as a newly hired associate; pay may depend on experience and skill sets.
