Collaborative treatment refers to a model of care in which primary care providers and mental health providers work together to identify social, emotional, and cognitive factors impacting physical complaints. ACT services are effective for a variety of mental and emotional disturbances. These disturbances include trauma, depression, grief, anxiety, chronic pain, suicidality, and childhood disorders. ACT takes a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered approach to clients. It recognizes the effects of numerous environmental factors that prevent individuals from living safe and healthy lives. ACT utilizes evidenced-based interventions, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Activation, Problem-Solving Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. The ACT Clinician provides counseling about various mental health concerns and enhances the capacity of clients to address their own needs. ACT services include screening follow-up, crisis intervention, brief therapy, case management, and appropriate referrals as needed. ACT services are provided within a medical outpatient setting, and clinicians work alongside medical staff. Position Qualifications: Minimum Education: Master's degree in a human service-related field, including Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work. Minimum Experience: Completion of an accredited Master's level degree program with evidence of one year of employment providing direct clinical care. Demonstrated proficiency in clinical and therapeutic activities including assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, individual, family, and group counseling, and clinical documentation is required. Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated experience and professional courtesy in working with various cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups. Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, build consensus, and facilitate change. Demonstrated ability to establish rapport quickly with a wide range of individuals and families.
