Shift/Time Zone: :Alternating week schedule
A schedule: M-F 7am-2:30pm, Sat 6am-12pm
B schedule: M-F 6am-2:30pm

PayRange:
$21/hr on W2
Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of our organization, providing vital support to patients during routine visits and in moments requiring critical health insights. The PSR I is responsible for skillfully collecting quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards. This role requires a high level of patient interaction, demanding professionalism, compassion, and confidence in every step of the process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily operations accurately and efficiently under the guidance of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment at all times.
  • Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing.
  • Accurately maintain all required documentation and records.
  • Foster trust with patients by explaining procedures clearly and providing compassionate care.
  • Uphold organizational values, demonstrating leadership behaviors and promoting a positive image to patients, clients, team members, and the public.
Requirements:

Education & Certification:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training preferred (e.g., Medical Assistant or Paramedic).
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months of relevant experience required.
  • 1+ years of phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service setting is a plus.
  • Must possess proficient keyboarding and data entry skills.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
  • Comfortable using a straight needle (non-butterfly).
  • Flexible availability, including the ability to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
  • Strong focus on confidentiality, accuracy, and patient-centered service.
