Senior BIOS Validation Tester
Job Summary
The Senior BIOS Validation Tester plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of BIOS software through rigorous testing and validation processes. This position is essential for meeting client requirements and maintaining high-quality standards in software performance. The tester will contribute to the development of test strategies, execute test cases, and analyze results to ensure that the BIOS operates as intended.
Responsibilities
- Create and review test cases based on functional specifications and software requirement specification documents related to BIOS functionalities to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Execute functionality testing of BIOS software according to the defined test plan and respective test cases, documenting results and identifying any discrepancies.
- Contribute to the development of test plans by collaborating with the team and providing insights based on assigned work, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Track and analyze test coverage, defect density, and other key metrics related to BIOS validation, presenting progress reports to stakeholders and suggesting areas for improvement.
- Coordinate discussions with team members and provide updates to clients regarding testing progress and defect resolution, fostering effective communication throughout the testing process.
Qualifications
- Proficient understanding of BIOS validation processes and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of test case creation and execution based on functional specifications.
- Familiarity with test metrics analysis and reporting in a testing context.
- Good understanding of software testing tools and practices related to BIOS functionality.
- Experience in coordinating with teams and communicating effectively with clients.

Certification
Optional but valuable certifications include Certified Software Tester (CST) or ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
