We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Applications Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong mechanical design and project management skills who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working directly with customers to develop custom-engineered solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop quotations for custom-engineered products based on customer specifications and application requirements
Create component and top-level assembly drawings using SolidWorks, Inventor, and AutoCAD
Execute Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure designs meet cost, timeline, and technical requirements
Support manufacturing operations by transitioning new projects to the production floor, including tooling coordination, vendor communication, and production cell layout
Estimate material, labor, and tooling costs for quotations and provide detailed cost breakdowns
Identify risks and unknowns in new designs and plan research and development activities accordingly
Maintain bills of materials, purchase specifications, and production documentation for new and existing products
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical or other engineering disciplines will be considered)
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment
Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, and AutoCAD
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, project management, and manufacturing processes
Experience with bill of materials (BOM) creation and engineering documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a project management role
Familiarity with quoting processes and cost estimation for custom-engineered products
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with sales, manufacturing, and external stakeholders
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Randolph,NJ.
