Position Description:
New Model Launch engineer for vehicle programs.
Launch new vehicle and powertrain programs in North America assembly plants.
Primary Skills Required:
Responsible for the overall program management and delivery of new vehicle programs.
Issue Resolution, Quality/Status Assessments, Fleet (Vehicle) Management, and Budgets/Timing.
Experience Required: Managing the Launch Teams transition to the plant. Managing Pre-Production Build Events. Managing the ordering, building, testing, and disposition of vehicles. Managing the Pre-Production Drive Fleet Evaluation Plan. Managing Product Development change approvals ahead of prototype builds. Gatekeeper for New Model Programs. Leading the build issues management process for the cross functional program team. Co-Chairing meetings and driving part support issues to resolution for each pre-production build. Champion Senior Management Presentations. Preparing and presenting New Model Program weekly assessment reports. Managing launch budget approval and executing elements controlled by New Model Programs within the launch budget.
Skills Required: Program Management / Candidate needs to be capable of managing multiple workstreams through to completion for on time delivery of work and should be able to escalate issues as required. Requires cross-functional collaboration with many different teams
Experience Required: Program management experience Manufacturing experience Strong communication skills Ability to be detail-oriented and highly organized
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
Additional Information : ***POSITION IS HYBRID (during launch employee is expected to be on site more than 4 days to support all activities.) This position involves long-term travel (up to 9-12 months at a time with the ability to travel home every other weekend. to support assembly plants during program launches. OT and travel is expected.
