Overview We are seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Grants Stewardship Manager. In this pivotal position, you will report to the Director of Grants Stewardship and champion our Grants Management process. Your primary focus will be to educate and train stakeholders on effective budget management, assisting technical project leaders in tracking expenditures, resolving budgetary issues, addressing compliance inquiries, and ensuring that project teams feel informed and supported throughout the grant lifecycle. This is a foundational role within the Grants Stewardship team where you will implement and maintain a holistic and timely workflow from project kickoff to grant/contract closure. You will collaborate closely with these stakeholders, working alongside the Finance department, including Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Contracts teams. If you have a knack for translating complex budgets and grant terminology into clear, actionable plans, this opportunity is for you. The ideal candidate will possess a customer service mindset, a sense of ownership over projects, and experience with tools and systems such as NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, Salesforce, or Excel. You will thrive on data analysis, forecasting, reporting, and process improvements, and will be eager to implement new efficiencies. What You Will Do Maintain and manage grants administration processes for federal grants and contracts, ensuring a seamless workflow from award to closure with guidance from the Director. Oversee internal and external reporting, including funder reporting, program expenditures, and analytics for technical program leaders. Manage financial systems like NetSuite Planning and Budgeting, developing and maintaining accurate project budget forecasts. Provide training to project leads on effective budget management, working in partnership with the Grants Stewardship team and budget owners to track expenditures and address budgetary challenges. Review and analyze award revenue, cash balances, and subcontract activities, collaborating with Finance to strengthen management processes. Relationship Building & Management Work with Finance Business Partners and FP&A to address project-level issues and enhance forecasting processes in financial systems. Collaborate with Accounting and Contracts teams to streamline funder invoicing and resolve vendor payment challenges. Partner with program teams and the Grants Stewardship team to ensure that grant transactions are compliant with budget terms and properly recorded in the system. Support program budget owners to enhance their budget management experience. Act as a liaison to ensure efficient project budget management between the grant stewardship team, finance partners, and project leaders. Engage in internal process flow discussions to support the overall financial health of the organization. Who You Are You have 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in grants management and contracts administration. You possess advanced knowledge of financial systems such as NetSuite and Excel. You have strong financial, budgeting, and analytical skills to translate complex data into clear stakeholder information. You have the ability to empower others in effective budget management. You take ownership of projects, maintaining focus on deadlines and outcomes. You possess excellent interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills to foster a supportive environment. We offer an annual home office stipend and provide necessary office equipment for new employees. The salary range for this position is $68,000 to $80,000 annually, in line with our Manager salary band and compensation philosophy. Starting salaries are determined based on relevant experience and market demands.
