What the position is about In this impactful role, you will report to the Director of Grants Stewardship and help advance our Grants Management processes. Your main responsibilities will include educating stakeholders on budget management, supporting technical project leaders in tracking expenditures, and addressing compliance questions. You will play a crucial role in managing the workflow from project initiation to grant completion, collaborating with the Grants Stewardship team, the Finance department, and other program stakeholders. This position translates complex budgets and grant terms into clear, actionable plans. You will approach tasks with a customer-service mindset and be open to utilizing new tools and systems, such as NetSuite and Salesforce. Expect to engage in data analysis, forecasting, reporting, process improvements, and enhancing efficiencies. Key Responsibilities Oversee grants administration processes for federal grants and contracts to ensure seamless workflow from award to closure. Manage internal and external reporting, ensuring accurate funder reporting on program expenditures. Administer financial systems like NetSuite to develop and maintain accurate project budget forecasts. Provide training on effective budget management, partnering with the Grants Stewardship team to monitor expenditures. Review and report on award revenue and subaward activity, collaborating with Finance to ensure timely contract closeouts. Relationship Building & Management Work closely with Finance partners to address project-level issues and enhance budgeting processes in NetSuite. Coordinate with Accounting and Contracts teams on invoicing, payments, and contract resolutions. Ensure all transactions are compliant, allowable, and accurately recorded in accounting systems. Support project leaders to improve their budget management experiences. Act as a liaison between the Grants Stewardship team, finance partners, and project leaders for effective budget management. Who You Are 3-5 years of experience in grants management or contracts administration. Proficient in financial systems, including NetSuite and Excel. Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex data clearly. Experience in enhancing others' capacity in budget management. Proactive and accountable regarding deadlines and outcomes. Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach. Adaptable and eager to learn new systems.
