Our volunteers play a vital role in creating a supportive presence during this deeply personal time. What Hospice Volunteers Do: As a hospice volunteer, your role is to provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families. This may include: Sitting with patients and offering a listening ear Reading aloud, sharing stories, or playing music Accompanying patients on short walks or simply sitting together in silence Supporting caregivers by offering respite and reassurance Hospice is not about curing - it's about comfort, dignity, and presence.
