Position Summary Seeking an experienced Physician Assistant with 3+ years in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU patient management to join a full-time cardiothoracic surgical team. Responsibilities include perioperative care, assisting in complex cardiac surgeries including endoscopic vein harvesting, and managing ICU and surgical patients. Why This Role is Unique

Full-time day shift with rotating weekend and on-call schedule (1:4-5)

Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment with surgeons, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals

Competitive salary range: $100,588 to $143,769 annually, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative and ICU care to cardiothoracic surgery patients

Assist with complex cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting and first assist duties

Manage CVICU, floor, and clinic patient rounding and evaluations

Participate in two full-day clinics weekly and additional patient care as needed

Rotate operating room coverage Monday through Friday

Order, interpret, and manage labs, diagnostic tests, and medications with full prescriptive authority

Perform bedside procedures appropriate for patient population

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and demonstrate clinical judgment under physician supervision

Engage in ongoing CME and professional development

Adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic clinical setting

Job Requirements

Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies PA-C certification by NCCPA Minimum 3+ years cardiac/cardiovascular surgery and ICU experience Colorado state license to practice as a PA DEA license with full prescriptive authority Medical staff membership with appropriate privileges BLS certification (AHA or ARC) Eligible to provide Medicare and Medicaid reimbursable services
