Forklift Operator
Forklift Driver is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines, loading docks, or vehicles. Key Responsibilities: Forklift Operation:
Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, reach, or pallet jack forklifts. Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift or other power equipment. Transport raw materials, parts, and finished goods between storage and production areas.
Inventory Handling:
Accurately scan and document inventory movements using RF scanners or manual logs. Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory. Maintain proper rotation of inventory (FIFO/LIFO as applicable).
Safety and Maintenance:
Perform daily safety checks and basic maintenance on forklifts (e.g., fluid levels, brakes, lights). Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including OSHA regulations. Report any equipment malfunctions, hazards, or safety concerns immediately.
Shipping & Receiving:
Assist with loading and unloading trucks, verifying counts and condition of shipments. Prepare materials for shipment, including wrapping, strapping, or labeling as required. Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Housekeeping & Organization:
Keep warehouse and work areas clean and organized. Ensure materials are stored in designated areas. Remove debris, packaging, and waste materials safely.
