Position Announcement This is an excellent opportunity for an undergraduate student to gain experience in healthcare and research communications. You will assist the Communications and Public Affairs team by creating engaging content, managing social media channels, and sharing meaningful stories that highlight the impact of cancer research and care. This role provides valuable experience in digital marketing, storytelling, and community engagement while building a professional portfolio. Duration:

Fall 2025 Semester, starting as soon as September 1, 2025. This is a term-based position, part-time (10-15 hours per week). This work will be hybrid, with flexible work-from-home hours and some on-site work at Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City. Summary of Responsibilities • Create engaging content for social media platforms, with an emphasis on short-form video • Contribute ideas and posts to the social media calendar • Engage with followers, respond to messages, and help build online community • Monitor analytics and refine content based on performance • Research social media trends and brainstorm creative campaign ideas • Assist with visuals, graphics, and multimedia content using design tools • Stay updated on new social media features, tools, and best practices

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications • Must be a current UVU student

Preferred Qualifications: • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines • Interest in healthcare and science communication • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Adobe Premiere Pro or Rush preferred Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Skills related to internship position of preference Demonstrated attention to detail Meeting multiple priorities and deadlines Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to work as a member of a team Ability to work independently
