Position Announcement
Excellence and Innovation Initiative (e2i) is part of the Innovation Academy. Our mission is to bridge the gap between academia and industry by providing transformative project-based learning experiences. At e2i we connect students with industry experience through collaborative teamwork and real-world projects.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated student to join the e2i program as a Data Analyst focused on dashboard development. In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards that provide meaningful insights to support project teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate enjoys working with data, translating numbers into clear visuals, and supporting decision-making through analytics. This is a project-based, student position with opportunities to develop real-world experience in data visualization, analytics, and communication.
Summary of Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities • Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency. • Develop and maintain dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel. • Collaborate with a project manager and interdisciplinary student team members to identify key metrics and reporting needs. • Contribute to project deliverables, documentation, and presentations. • Uphold professionalism when representing e2i in meetings and with partners.
Expectations • Commitment of 5-10 hours per week, depending on project needs. • Must be available to quickly provide hiring documents to People and Culture and complete the onboarding process so the project can begin as soon as possible.

Represent UVU with professionalism Strong discipline, flexibility, creativity, and problem-solving skills Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Ability to adapt writing style and tone to suit different audiences, platforms, and communication objectives. Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and generating original content ideas. Strong interest in data analysis, visualization, and problem-solving. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Excel). Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting and reporting issues. Flexibility, creativity, and problem-solving ability.
