Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is seeking a full-time, experienced Obstetrician to join an established team of OB Hospitalists. This role provides timely care in low and high-risk situations within a collaborative group of certified nurse midwives (CNMs), OB/GYNs, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists in providing quality, coordinated care to families.
Responsibilities include OB triage, coverage for high risk MFM patients with MFM support, back up for OB/GYN generalist colleagues (both employed and private practice, and for surgical assisting, and occasional backup of the midwives. Each year, about one of every seven babies born in Oregon is delivered at Providence St. Vincent - more than any other medical facility in the state. It is considered a Level III obstetrical and NICU unit and can offer resuscitation down to 22-weeks old.
Position Details:
Full-time at 1.0 FTE
Those interested in part-time employment (less than 1.0 FTE) are also encouraged to apply
161 shifts per year with 12-hour night shifts counting as 1.2 shifts (Thus, if you work 50% nights, you will work a total of 74 days and 73 nights or 147 shifts)
12-hour shifts, combination of day and night (7 to 7)
OB only; no call required
This position is covered by the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) between Providence St. Vincent Hospitalists and Northwest Medicine United/AFT Local 6552
