What You Will Do
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for managing payroll processes and systems resulting in timely and accurate payrolls, audits, and financial reporting in addition to ensuring value added services and results for our employee consumers and our business partners. Position has an integral part in managing and leading the payroll process.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

Manages payroll staff and workflows to ensure correct and timely processing of all payments and transactions in UKG Pro payroll system, reconcile payrolls, and validate reports before completion, and manage and coordinate inbound and outbound interfaces. Manages the Workforce Management timekeeping system and support staff to ensure accurate time worked is collected and reconciled for the Greensboro Union employees.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as company policies and union contract regarding payments of wages, tax withholding, garnishments, and employee deductions.
Manages all aspects of payroll taxes and employee taxation, including research and analysis of current tax laws and setup of new employee local tax jurisdictions.
Analyzes and coordinates with the payroll system tax services team on resolutions of agency notices and filing of amended returns as needed.
Enhances payroll analytical and reporting capabilities including developing new BI ad hoc and ongoing reports, for payroll process validation, financial, and operational reporting, audits, and information sharing with business partners.
Maintains strong relationships to address and resolve payroll problems for employees, managers and business partners while consistently delivering high-quality service.
Manages and oversees the general ledger interface and partners with Finance team members and Payroll Analyst to analyze and explain labor activity and balance accounts. Also coordinates the month-end reconciliations and requests by other functional teams.
Responsible for inbound and outbound IME activity, including Shadow payroll processing and working closely with KPMG on any issues relating to IME's.
Assists Director, Payroll Services in research, reporting, and coordinating Functions as backup for critical roles and processes throughout the payroll process. Works closely with Director, Payroll Services on best practices, projects, and system enhancements to streamline the payroll function.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study with 5+ years related work experience
3+ yearssupervisory/managerialexperience
Must be 21 years of age or older
Experience to include but not limited to:
Multi-company, multi-jurisdictional payroll experience.
System interface management and BI report writing experience.
Integrated HCM/Payroll system experience.
Knowledge of:
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.

What You Will Do
