About the Family

A warm and welcoming family of three adults and one young child is seeking a highly skilled and dependable Housekeeper to care for their beautiful multi-level home in the Cow Hollow neighborhood of San Francisco. The household includes the principals, their 1-year-old son, and a live-in nanny. The family values professionalism, attention to detail, and a calm presence in their home.

Position Overview

The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, organization, and smooth functioning of the home. This role requires expertise in deep cleaning, laundry care, and managing household tasks with minimal direction. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be knowledgeable about cleaning products for high-end finishes, and have experience maintaining beautiful homes to the highest standards.

While the primary focus is housekeeping, there is an opportunity for the right person to take on additional responsibilities such as vendor coordination, receiving deliveries, grocery shopping, and other household management tasks.

Primary Responsibilities Housekeeping & Deep Cleaning Clean and maintain all areas of the home, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and common spaces. Ensure floors are thoroughly cleaned at least twice per week. Perform detailed cleaning tasks such as baseboards and windows on a weekly basis. Care for multiple outdoor spaces, including decks and a rooftop patio, ensuring they remain tidy and safe for family use. Laundry & Linen Care Complete laundry for all household members, including the principals, child, and nanny. Change and refresh bed linens regularly. Fold and put away clothing in proper locations. Iron select items as needed. Identify and set aside items for dry cleaning. Organization Maintain household organization, including closets, pantries, and storage areas. Support decluttering projects as needed. Optional Household Support Receive and manage package deliveries. Coordinate with vendors or service providers (plumbers, electricians, etc.). Assist with grocery shopping and errands, if comfortable. Occasionally provide brief supervision of the baby to assist the nanny when necessary (no nanny experience required, just willingness to help). Schedule

Core Hours:

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Flexibility for occasional adjustments is appreciated but not required. Evenings, weekends, and holidays are not required. Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in private homes or luxury hotels required. Expertise:

Knowledge of safe, gentle cleaning products and techniques for high-end appliances and finishes. Detail-Oriented:

Comfortable working alongside other staff members, including a nanny who primarily speaks Chinese (use of a translation app may be helpful). Professionalism:

Parking is available in the driveway, though garage space is typically occupied. Neighborhood parking is primarily two-hour parking. A one-week paid trial period will be part of the hiring process. NDA signing will be required.
