Overview An active, private family in Los Feliz is seeking a warm, experienced, discreet, and calm Housekeeper /L aundress to manage and maintain the daily upkeep and seamless operation of their approximately 6,800 sq ft residence, which consists of 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. This role is hands-on and multifaceted, encompassing detailed housekeeping, expert wardrobe and laundry care, household inventory management, and organization. The family has small children and no pets. The candidate is expected to work on-site, Monday through Friday, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, calm, and quiet efficiency. Th family is working with the Nines Estate Management Platform. The candidate should be comfortable sending and receiving text messages in English. There are other staff employed, including a Live-In Nanny, and there is support for deep cleaning. Local candidates only, please. Looking to hire immediately.

Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

Housekeeping

Daily cleaning and upkeep of all rooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces

Bed making and linen changes to luxury hotel standards

Care of high-end surfaces (wood, marble, stainless steel, glass, etc.)

Inventory and restocking of cleaning supplies and household items

Trash and recycling management, ensuring proper disposal procedures

Organization of household areas, pantries, closets, and storage

Maintain inventories and household stock items

Assistance with family routines, such as tidying children’s play areas and/or helping organize household deliveries

Tidying and organization of personal items

Deep cleaning on a scheduled basis (rotational zones, windows, appliances, etc.)

Laundress Duties – (Essential Skill)

Complete laundry care: washing, hand-washing, ironing, steaming, folding, pressing, and hanging

Specialized handling of couture garments, luxury fabrics, fine linens, and children’s clothing

Seasonal wardrobe management, including rotation, cataloguing, and storage

Packing and unpacking for principals and family, ensuring items are organized and travel-ready

Coordination with high-end dry cleaners and couture care specialists; oversight of returns

Use of laundry machines, dryers, and ironing and steamers

Tracking and replenishing laundry supplies

Wardrobe inventory

Dry Cleaning tracking

Household Organization & Support

Maintain order in shared family spaces, children’s areas, and common-use items

Track supply levels and make informed recommendations for reordering

Work closely with the Estate Manager, Principals, and other staff on routines

Welcome vendors, oversee occasional maintenance visits

Assist with home care coordination

Provide coverage or support to other household staff when needed (e.g., helping manage deliveries, restocking, light errands)

Qualifications

Professional, discreet, and trustworthy

Collaborative team-player who can also work autonomously

Ability to read the room

Works intuitively and takes pride in their work

Warm and calm presence

Requirements Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within a private residence

Deep knowledge of luxury garments and fabric care

Professionalism, discretion, and trustworthiness

Comfort working around small children (nanny handles primary childcare)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Fluent in English; legal to work in the U.S.

COVID-vaccinated; willing to undergo a background check

Salary and Benefits The family is offering $50+ per hour DOE and a benefits package.
