Overview of Service Maintenance Worker
The Westville Campus at Purdue University Northwest is seeking a Service Maintenance Worker. The primary purpose of the Service Maintenance Worker is to maintain facilities and provide a comfortable and safe environment for faculty, staff and students by performing a wide variety of repairs and responding to customer requests.
Schedule:
Tuesday - Saturday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm Pay:
$18.00/hour Duties and Responsibilities of Service Maintenance Worker
Inspect, operate, repair, and maintain HVAC controls and equipment Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment
Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems Troubleshoot and maintain energy management system Install, repair and maintain wall and floor coverings and ceiling systems Assist other maintenance staff in a variety of repair and maintenance activities Assist in Grounds and Shipping & Receiving Departments and other areas as needed Perform other duties as assigned Education of Service Maintenance Worker
High School Diploma required Experience of Service Maintenance Worker
Two years of experience in basic building repairs in an instructional or commercial setting. Core Competencies of Service Maintenance Worker
Must have a valid driver's license Ability to follow verball and written communication Must be able to lift and carry 50 to 80 lbs. frequently and up to 100
