Provides purchasing support to factories by ensuring all required materials are procured in a timely and cost effective manner. Assists in the management of all aspects of Graco's global sourcing strategy. To ensure annual improvement in the total cost, quality, and service for the assigned commodities. To fully understand the business units and manufacturing requirements, and implement a procurement process to meet specific needs.
What You Will Do at Graco
Locate, analyze and evaluate sources (capability, capacity, market constraints) for assigned categories/commodities (20%).
Analyze and evaluate bids (price, availability, cost to produce, quality) and review competitive proposals(15%).
Support new supplier qualification and new product development activities as required, to include supplier visits and audits (20%).
Place and enter purchase orders as required (5%).
Keep current on new market trends and materials information (5%).
Maintain order quantities based on established formulas (10%).
Support cost reduction, lead time reduction and improve inventory turns (25%).
Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring to Graco
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; Supply Chain Management preferred
Basic knowledge of purchasing practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Interpersonal skills to correspond effectively with all levels of the organization.
Experience in analysis and resolution of critical or chronic cost, quality, or delivery problems.
Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Occasional travel may be required.
Accelerators
2+ years purchasing or manufacturing related experience
ERP business software experience (Oracle, SAP, etc).
Manufacturing environment experience.
ISM certification (CSCP,CPSM).
Engineering drawing interpretation skills.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. $44,400.00 - $77,800.00
